Join AASL for a special one-and-a-half day workshop investigating assessment from three perspectives: program assessment, providing a base for continuing dialogue with administrators; student assessment, reviewing collaborative models of information literacy within curriculum applications; and item analysis, identifying, gathering, and interpreting data.

AASL 2008 Fall Forum attendees will:

  • compare and contrast various components of authentic assessment with an emphasis on identifying those best suited for assessment of information literacy standards.
  • practice interpreting and applying authentic assessment data to curriculum development and cross curricular collaboration.
  • apply authentic assessment data to various curricular areas at a variety of educational levels.
  • use authentic assessment data to develop rigorous and relevant library programs and enhance library literacy curricula on various educational levels.
