Registration is now open.

The ACRL/LAMA Joint Virtual Institute, "Leading from the Middle: Managing in All Directions," will offer a forum for the exploration of issues and challenges facing middle managers and leaders. Discuss how middle managers not only keep up, but also lead the way in their libraries.  

The institute will be held April 29-30, 2008, and will take place in an online conference community.  The online community will provide an environment in which groups of participants, both small and large, can gather electronically to learn, collaborate, and network.  The institute will feature live webcasts, that begin and end at a certain time, as well as asynchronous online poster sessions, allowing for convenient scheduling and flexibility.  Institute sessions will be archived after the institute for viewing on-demand.

The ACRL/LAMA Joint Spring Virtual Institute will feature:

• Live, interactive webcasts of eighteen concurrent sessions
• Online poster sessions
• Text-based discussion boards
• Speaker materials including PowerPoint presentations, bibliographies, and biographies
• Unlimited access to the institute community after the live event

*Group rate– up to seven individuals at one institution: $400
*Group rate – eight individuals or more at one institution: $900

* The institute webcasts will take place online classroom environment with one user/one login. If you select the group rate, one person must register, login, and keyboard during the event. A group registration allows an institution to project the Webcast to participants in the same location. You will need to print off the registration form below and mail or fax in order to register at the group rate. 

Refund requests must be submitted in writing prior to April 21, 2008, and are subject to a $25 cancellation fee.
