A host of innovative technologies have impacted the teaching and learning landscape in recent years, particularly those of a social nature. This month’s Internet Resources article, authored by Bryan Alexander of the National Institute for Technology and Education, covers technology from longstanding threaded discussion boards to the more recent proliferation of blogs and wikis, within the context of the teaching and learning experience.

If you’re coming to Baltimore for the ACRL National Conference, March 29–April 1, you’ll appreciate “Dining and nightlife in Baltimore." The article provides comprehensive information on dining and entertainment venues to meet the needs of everyone. Whether you like to play it safe or seek out new experiences, you’ll find places to intrigue you here.

Job of a Lifetime offers a peek into the world of the head librarian for a hospitality management library. Find out what it’s like to support a curriculum grounded in the business of having fun.

Erika Linke and Scott Walter, this year’s candidates for ACRL vice-president/president elect, share their visions for the future of ACRL and the areas on which they will focus if elected. We hope that this will help you as you prepare to vote in the election this spring. Ballots will be available mid-March.
