YALSA has chosen 500 libraries for the 2009 SummerSlam Reading Jam project, in partnership with World Wrestling Entertainment and Mattel. YALSA seeks symposium proposals! Propose a preconference, program, or paper presentation for the 2010 Young Adult Literature Symposium. Guidelines, applications and other details are available on the symposium homepage. Proposals are due to the YALSA office by Oct. 1, 2009. Applicants will be notified of their status by Jan. 15.

Apply for a 2010 Young Adult Literature Symposium Stipend! YALSA will award two stipends, worth up to $1,000, for travel and registration costs at the 2010 Young Adult Literature Symposium in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Nov. 5-7, 2010. Applications are due Jan. 4.
